“Truth is stranger than fiction, but it is because fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities; Truth isn’t.”- Mark Twain
Ok, so this officially my first post and I’m super excited.
One of my all time favorites when it comes to epic quotes is this legend of a man- Mark Twain (summarized bio of him below). He was one of the men that made me start loving quotes and the application of words in a succinct manner.
Breakdown: This quote is as simple as it is complex and I can totally relate to it because writing fiction is way easier than reporting truth, believe me. In fiction, you can just go wild and keep talking, trick is whatever story of fiction you’re actually telling is directly or indirectly hinged to existing truth.
“Truth” on the other hand as used by Mark Twain can prove a tad complex whether you’re experiencing it or you’re reporting it. Ask yourself; what has ever SHOCKED you the most? Was it a work of fiction or an actual event?
By the way… To think that fiction is actually (based) on existing truth, hmmm… #Pensive #TruthOrFiction #EbubeAguQuotes.✍🏽️🗣
Fact: Mark Twain was actually a pen name. (Yeah I didn’t know that before oh) Anyways a few things about him you should know:
“Samuel Langhorne Clemens (November 30, 1835 – April 21, 1910), better known by his pen name Mark Twain, was an American writer, entrepreneur, publisher and lecturer. Among his novels are The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876) and its sequel, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn(1885), the latter often called “The Great American Novel”.”

Great.Explains why its a lot easier to make a fiction film, than one based on a True Story. In the latter, emotions get really involved, toes get stepped on, dust gets raised and movies get banned.Things get “real” with truth, unlike the EduInfotainment nature of the former founded on the truth but drowns, covers or chokes it somewhere down the line.
Christianity – Truth
Religion – Fiction
