“Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage.”- Niccolo Machiavelli
Breakdown: So last week I wrote the screening test to drive for Uber and this week I got paired with a partner (owner of Uber-certified car) and started driving. Hmmm, it’s been quite something I tell you, the people that I’ve carried these past few days, the places I’ve been to in this city, the money I’ve seen (don’t overthink this one *wink*), I can literally write a book from the encounter. Conversations, ascents, personalities, professions, attitudes, destinations and so on… Things I’ve experienced, has opened my eyes to opportunities around. Now imagine that Uber doesn’t own any taxi, yet they are the ones people think of when they want to get a cab with ease. They spotted an opportunity and turned it into a mega multi-million dollar business, and that, my friends is how Entrepreneurs think.
So question for the day: What opportunity or obstacle have you spotted recently and just complained about or made a snide comment on? It might just be the next “Google” idea. Wake up!!! #UberIdea #MillionDollarIdea #ObstaclesAreOpportunities #OpportunitiesArePriceless #Think #Consider #Act…
Fact: For riders, Uber is a convenient, inexpensive and safe taxi service. Hire a private driver to pick you up & take you to your destination with the tap of a button on your phone – and they’ll arrive within minutes. Not only is it an on-demand car service, but you can see exactly where the driver is as they come to pick you up.
For drivers, Uber provides exceptional pay while allowing you to be your own boss & pick your own hours. Take on fares whenever you wish (work as little or as much as you want) while meeting people in your city from all walks of life.
