Have you ever been there the moment a child is born? Even if you haven’t, I’m sure one time or another you must have experienced the naming ceremony or dedication of a child. It’s always a joyous moment, most times the parents are so overjoyed that you’d think all their problems have been solved. That’s the Joy of birth.

There are very few things you can compare to the miracle of conceiving, carrying & birthing a child. It’s nothing short of divine, it’s amazing, it’s refreshing, it’s hope giving, it’s energizing.

To see something come to fruition from nothing, gives you an idea of what the creator; God might have experienced while bringing the world to life.

Check this out;

“Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world.” John 16:21

Notice that when the child is born, she (the mother) no longer remembers all the pain and anguish, because the gift of the child removes all former pain.

This is how we should look on to the end of anything we’ve conceived, visions, ideas, projects, etc, with the mindset that whatever we’re going through NOW can never be compared to the Joy of completing what was conceived in us.

I remember how and when the vision for my book “We All Need Healing” was birthed, the publishing was supposed to coincide with my 25th birthday and the deadline was fast approaching. I would have easily abandoned or pushed the date like any other thing but I knew that for something beautiful to be birthed, there had to be labour, I had to travail, and so I did.

Words will fail me to express how excited I was upon the manifestation of the vision… When my hands finally touched the books, I was ecstatic, all the sleepless nights, all the money spent, things sacrificed, all of a sudden didn’t matter, cos now I had brought something to Life, I was so ALIVE.

“For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.” 2 Corinthians 4:21 (ESV)

So next time you ever want to give up on ANYTHING (you know you should be doing) just because it seems “laborious”, remember that the travails are NOTHING compared to seeing a vision birthed.

And Keep PUSHING!!!!!!!

Grace & Peace.
