You Are Not The Statue Of Liberty!

It’s okay to discontinue. It’s okay to change.

You don’t give yourself a crazy hard time because your jeans from 10 years ago no longer fit (& if you do, we need to talk). So, why do you have such a hard time accepting the person you are now?

Give yourself room to grow. See, it’s simple, you can’t be the same way, like the same things, behave in the same manner forever. You do understand what growth means, no?

It is easy to feel held back. The whole world knows you loved painting, everyone knew you wanted to wow the world with your paintings, but you’re no longer there, you no longer feel that way. And you are having a hard time moving on, because I mean: What will they say?

The law of Growth Mindset dictates that you should be open to the person you are and the person you’re becoming, more than the person you were or always thought yourself to be.

How the flip does it matter what people will say?! It has nothing to do with being “authentic” or “staying true to yourself”. Apparently, people feel they have to do that. But I can’t help but wonder, who do you actually think YOU are? Like, which version of you are you staying true to? The one that no longer exists? Or, the one you are now?

Don’t feel bad, don’t let yourself be held back.

It’s okay to change, you are not the statue of liberty!

  1. Many times we loose weight, other times we loose faith; the most important of all is that we glory in the fact that we are known and loved by God. Great remarks Gisike
