Thoughts don’t just go away, they’re not a self destruct message like in the movies. They will stay, linger, grow and gain ground unless you exchange them.
You have a thought you don’t like? You have a belief you want to change? You have a habit you badly want discontinued? You will spend an unreasonable and sadly unproductive amount of time trying in vain to make it disappear…
Instead, take something else (more desirable) and put in its place; substitute it!
