Good Enough

I’m good. I’m not good.

I’m strong. I’m not strong.

I’m lazy. I’m worthless. I’m not good.

I’m not good enough. I’m not strong enough. I’m pressed down, I’m tied down. I’m bad. I’m the baddest. What the heck, I AM THE BADDEST!

I’m pressed down, I’m messed up.

Pops had a temper. I have a temper too.

Mother had me as a teenager. I might get pregnant as well.

My parents got divorced. This marriage might as well go to hades, hell, what the heck. I don’t care.

This is my legacy. Liberty is a fantasy. I’m tied down and will remain so.

But the voice inside of me, keeps telling me I’m strong enough.

This is not my legacy.

This might be the story of my life: but I have the chance, I have the choice. To follow the voice.

I’m not lazy. I’m worthy. I’m good.

I’m strong. I’m good. I AM GOOD.

I’m good enough. This is not my Legacy. Gotta write my story. Gotta change the patterns. Gotta change the hands of time.

This is NOT, MY DESTINY.
